On 24 December 2025, an IED, likely planted prior to the ceasefire, detonated in an IDF Namer armored vehicle in Rafah City (Rafah, Gaza Strip), injuring 1 Israeli soldier. Hamas denied responsibility for the incident and stated that the area is under Israeli control. An Israeli helicopter later evacuated the wounded soldier. The incident occurred in an Israeli-controlled area along the Yellow Line.
