On 24 December 2025, military and police forces conducted a joint operation targeting militants (coded as TTP) in Madikhel, Azadkhel, and surrounding mountainous areas of Bettani tehsil (Lakki Marwat, KPK), destroying multiple militant hideouts and sanctuaries. Authorities claim that militants suffered casualties, though no casualty figures were confirmed. Joint patrols were also carried out along the Peshawar-Karachi Highway in Serai Gambila, Tajazai, and Gandi Chowk during the operation. Casualties unknown.
