On 24 December 2025, in Joao Pessoa (Paraiba), military police officers exchanged fire with drug traffickers in the Mangabeira neighbourhood, Aratu community. The officers were conducting a routine patrol when they spotted the suspects, who fired against them. An armed clash took place and three suspects were arrested. Police seized firearms, ammunition and drugs. There were no casualties.
