On 24 December 2025, in Salvador - Barra/Pituba (Bahia), military police officers exchanged fire with unidentified armed suspects in the Chapada do Rio Vermelho neighbourhood. The officers were conducting a routine patrol when they spotted the suspects, who fired against them and escaped. More officers were called to the scene and a second clash took place upon their arrival. Once again, the suspects escaped. A police car was shot. There were no casualties.
