On 24 December 2025, in Riacho da Lama (Laje, Bahia), two unidentified armed suspects on a motorcycle killed two men in a drive-by shooting. The suspects fired against the men and escaped immediately. The victims were both prisoners (charges unspecified) who were on temporary Christmas leave. The authorship and motivations are unknown. 2 fatalities.
