Around 24 December 2025 (as reported), in Ambato (Tungurahua), a man was killed and his body was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the head at a gas station on Bolivariana Avenue, in the Picaihua sector, Totoras Parish. He had a record for drug trafficking, extortion, and robbery. He was taken to the hospital, where he died. Police officers collected 15 pieces of ballistic evidence and found a firearm inside the vehicle. 1 fatality.
