On 24 December 2025, the Malian army announced that it conducted airstrikes against armed militants (likely JNIM, based on location) while escorting a convoy of fuel trucks, west of Kolondieba (Kolondieba, Kolondieba, Sikasso). The Malian army said that the target was successfully hit but did not provide any additional details. Casualties unknown.
