On 23 December 2025, in Nyin Htwe village (Yebyu township, Dawei district, Tanintharyi region), a Myanmar military column of around 50 troops clashed with unidentified local defense forces in the morning. During the clash, the military fired artillery rounds into the village, killing 2 civilians (a 30-year-old woman and a three-month-old child) and injuring at least 6 civilians. 2 fatalities.
