On 23 December 2025, near Sumhrang village (Falam township, Falam district, Chin state), fighting broke out between the Myanmar military and unknown local resistance groups based in Chin state. The Myanmar military conducted 3 airstrikes during the armed clash. 3 military soldiers, including 2 Lieutenants, were killed. The local resistance group seized several weapons and ammunition boxes, two hand grenades, one landmine, and three mobile phones. 3 fatalities.
