On 23 December 2025, between Hlay Tone and Ta Khun Taing villages (coded as Hlay Tone) (Aunglan township, Thayet district, Magway region), the combined troops of the Yoma Fighter Column, the People's Defense Force - Nay Pyi Taw Battalon- 902 and Battalion - 804, the People's Defense Force - Thayet District Battalion - 1 and the Strategy 17 attacked around 20 Myanmar military soldiers from IB-71 that advanced in a vehicle to inspect mine field planted by resistance troops around 8:30 am with mines and small arms. 16 military soldiers including an officer were killed. 16 fatalities.
