On 23 December 2025, in Escuinapa de Hidalgo, Sinaloa, armed men shot at the military officers after they arrived at a home following the call of a woman who reported that two men entered her home and locked her daughter inside. Four people were arrested, including two minors and one woman. Police officers seized three landmine explosive devices inside and one woman was rescued. There were no casualties.
