On 23 December 2025, in Pisco (Ica), an unknown number of unidentified suspects detonated an explosive device outside a journalist residence in the 5 de Diciembre settlement. The attack took place early in the morning and even though the journalist and his family were inside the residence, they were unharmed. There is no further information. There were no fatalities.
