On 23 December 2025, in Gravata (Itaporanga d'Ajuda, Sergipe), civil and military police officers exchanged fire with a drug trafficker. The officers conducted an operation to arrest suspects of theft and drug trafficking. A suspect resisted and fired against the officers, leading to an armed clash. He was shot and killed. Three others were arrested. Police seized drugs portioned for sale. 1 fatality.
