On 23 December 2025, in Marituba (Para), unidentified armed individuals in a car shot and killed a man in the Decouville neighborhood. The individuals arrived in a red vehicle, exited the car, and opened fire at close range while the victim was in front of his residence, before fleeing the scene. The attackers were hooded and set off fireworks to mask the sound of the gunshots. The victim had a prior criminal record for homicide dating back several decades. The motive for the killing remains unclear. 1 fatality.
