On 23 December 2025, Cambodian forces using small arms, mortars, recoilless rifles, and artillery carried out attacks against Thai military positions in Phu Makuea, Pha Mo I Daeng and Huai Ta Maria area in Sao Thong Chai, Kantharalak (Si Sa Ket). Thai forces responded with mortars, drone-dropped munitions, and artillery, conducting counter-battery fire and interdicting enemy supply routes. Casualties unknown.
