On 23 December 2025, Russian Forces fired with unspecified weapon (coded as shelling) at Ukrainian positions near Hryshyne, Donetsk. According to Russian sources, 500 Ukrainian soldiers, including from marines, territorial defense, Azov and national guard units (coded to Udachne), were killed in the area of Udachne, Molodetske, Vilne, Ivanivka, Marivka, Serhiivka, Hruzke, Shevchenko, Bilytske, Hryshyne and Novopavlivka [Russian MoD reported 500 fatalities.
