On 23 December 2025, Oromia state police and Kebele militia clashed with Fano in Tega Jigi town, also known as Shasho Ber town, in Gida Ayana Woreda (location coded to the admin center, Ayana, Gida Ayana, East Wellega, Oromia). The ENDF army unit stationed in the area left on 21 December 2025, and the Oromia police took over to fill the security vacuum. The state security forces subsequently conducted civilian killings in the town (coded separately). Casualties unknown.
