On 23 December 2025, government security forces (coded as SSPDF) clashed with SPLM/A-IO members at the Shrine of Nuer Prophet Ngundeng in Wechdeng Boma, Waat Payam (Nyirol County, Jonglei). The opposition members had gone to attend the yearly ritual at the shrine. There were no casualties.
