On 22 December 2025, one group involved in land dispute cum matrimonial dispute within the Pitafi community fired indiscriminately at interlocuters who had arrived to settle the dispute peacefully at Khanpur Mahar town (Ghotki district, Sindh). Three persons were killed and another three were left injured in the incident.
