On 22 December 2025, in Delmas - Village W. Lamothe, Ouest, unidentified armed individuals shot and killed a security guard as they tried to kidnap a person at the intersection of Catherie Flon and Ardouin streets, next to the Delmas 31 Road. The security guard was working for a commercial business in the area. Police forces intervened and engaged in clashes with the armed men, killing one. The accomplices managed to escape. The kidnapping was thwarted. The police seized a firearm. 2 fatalities.
