Around 22 December 2025 (as reported), in Lima - Carabayllo (Lima), an unknown number of unidentified suspects detonated an explosive device near an event where the mayor (affiliated with PDSP) was taking part in the Sol Naciente settlement. Police stated that the mayor has experienced several attacks in the past. Due to the explosion, a motorcycle was partially damage, but no injures were reported. There were no fatalities.
