On 22 December 2025, in Salinas (Imbabura), an unidentified armed individual shot and killed a barber at his shop in the Reales Tamarindos neighborhood, Santa Rosa parish. Two armed individuals arrived at his shop on a motorcycle; one stepped off, entered, and shot him twice in the head while he was working on a client, and the other attacker waited for his partner and then they fled together. 1 fatality.
