On 22 December 2025, QSD members withdrew from a joint QSD-Syrian police checkpoint at the Shihan roundabout, then QSD snipers and members fired live ammunition, mortar and machine gun shelling directly targeting civilians and Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management members who were carrying out their duties in the city of Aleppo - Shihan neighborhood, injuring eight including two Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management members and two children. There were no fatalities.
