On 22 December 2025, armed clashes and mutual shelling took place between QSD and Syrian armed forces along several fronts in the city of Aleppo - Al-Ashrafiyya and Aleppo - Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods and in their vicinities with tank shelling, heavy weapons and mortars, killing one woman in Sheikh Maqsoud and injuring seven others in both neighborhoods. Syrian police accused QSD of targeting police, army, civilian and civil defense positions in both neighborhoods. On the same day, Syrian army reinforcements including tanks, military vehicles and heavy weapons travelled to the vicinity of both neighborhoods. 1 fatality.
