On 22 December 2025, Russian Forces launched air strikes at Ukrainian positions in Liubytske, Zaporizhia. According to Russian sources, 320 Ukrainian soldiers, including from national guard and territorial defense units (coded to Huliaipole), were killed in the area of Huliaipole, Barvinivka, Ternuvate, Kosivtseve, Liubytske, Verkhnia Tersa, Zarichne and Radushne [Russian MoD reported 320 fatalities.
