On 22 December 2025, an unidentified armed group attacked the NSCDC position at Ibrahim Leteh village along the Wawa-Luma Road, location coded to the nearest town, Wawa (Borgu, Niger). The attackers riddled the forces' patrol vehicle and a mini office with bullets, then fled with a G3 rifle. There were no casualties.
