On 22 December 2025, overnight, ISWAP militants ambushed and clashed with military forces at a military camp in Ngouma (Makary, Logone-et-Chari, Extreme-Nord). The militants killed 1 military officer, injured 3 others, abducted 2 health workers, 1 man, and 2 children, seized several weapons and destroyed a mobile phone relay tower.
