Around 21 December 2025 (as reported), in Guayaquil - Tarqui (Guayas), three teenagers were killed and their dismembered bodies were later found in bags inside an abandoned home in the Horizontes del Fortin cooperative, in the Nueva Prosperina sector. The victims had been abducted on 18 December 2025 at the bus stop of line 112 by armed individuals riding a tricycle. They were kept in the basement of the house, where it is suspected they were tortured. It is suspected that the house where they were found belonged to a gang leader who had been killed three months earlier. The area where the killing occurred is controlled by the Los Fenix gang. The house had 'Emperador' written on it, and authorities suspect that this would be the alias of the Los Tiguerones leader in the area. The relatives of one of the victims claimed that one of the other teenagers was part of a gang. 3 fatalities.
