On 21 December 2025, UPDF clashed with a twenty-seven-year-old South Sudanese soldier at Yamba village, coded to nearby Midigo (Midigo, Aringa, Yumbe) after the latter attempted to rob civilians. The South Sudanese soldier was killed. UPDF recovered an SMG rifle, three magazines, thirteen rounds, a stolen motorcycle, and a mobile phone. Another suspect was arrested.
