On 20 December 2025, Taliban members clashed with two unknown gunmen in the Band Barq area of Nahr-i-Saraj (Gerishk) district (coded to Girishk), Helmand. One gunman was killed, while the other escaped. The two individuals had entered a house for unknown reasons and were confronted by the Taliban as they were leaving.
