On 20 December 2025, Cambodian forces fired mortars and artillery against Thai positions in Chong Ta Thav area in Phum Son, Sao Thong Chai, Kantharalak (Si Sa Ket), damaging bunkers and wounding three Thai officers, while Thai forces responded with artillery fire that forced Cambodian units to relocate tank firing positions to adjust their firing directions.
