On 19 December 2025, in La Aurora (Guayas), unidentified individuals riding in a car shot and killed a woman in a drive-by shooting on 18 de Agosto Avenue. She had just attended the funeral of a football player and his wife who were killed on 17 December 2025 (coded separately). Authorities were investigating whether the two attacks were connected. The driver of her car was also injured. 1 fatality.
