In Kyaukpyu Township, Rakhine State, military council airstrikes and heavy weapons shelling killed two additional displaced women and injured two others, according to local residents speaking to Shwe Phee Myay.

Around midnight on January 17, the military council attacked Kyauk Klay village with airstrikes (two bombs from aircraft), 4-5 suicide drone strikes, and about 10 shells from a warship. A local told Shwe Phee Myay, "They hit the village in a continuous barrage."
