On 18 December 2025, near Nyaung Pin Seik village (Aunglan township, Thayet district, Magway region), the Myanmar military troops who were lying in wait ambushed and attacked the members of the Ayeyarwady Battalion 3 while they were crossing the Irrawaddy River. 3 members of the Ayeyarwady Battalion-3 were killed and lost 4 weapons and ammunition. 3 civilians were also killed as the military troops opened fire indiscriminately during the armed clash. 6 fatalities.
