On 18 December 2025, near Myay Ni Sho village (Khin-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes on thousands of cars stuck in traffic near Aung Ze petrol station on the Shwebo-Myitkyina road using 5 jet fighters and 3 gyrocopters at around 3:00 pm. 4 cars were destroyed. Irrawaddy reported that 13 civilians were killed, Shwe Phee Myay News Agency and The Voice of Chinland - VOC reported that 12 civilians were killed, Myanmar Now reported that about 10 civilians were killed, Democratic Voice of Burma reported that 6 civilians were killed and Mizzima reported that 5 civilians were killed. Fatalities coded as 5, using the lowest estimate.
