On 18 December 2025, 1 IED of unknown origin detonated targeting the HQ of Al Islah Party next to Ammar Bin Yassir school on Jamal street in Taizz - Ad Darbah (Al Mudhaffar, Taizz), killing 3 to 5 civilians and injuring 11 to 13 others, depending on sources. Total fatalities coded as at least 3. The killed included 1 seven-year-old student and 2 Islah commanders, one of whom worked also as the school principal. The injuries, which ranged from serious to moderate due to shrapnel wounds, caused hospitalizations, including of the HQ's security guard, 1 other Islah official and at least 2 other school children aged thirteen and fourteen respectively. The explosion damaged a number of nearby shops and vehicles. Several suspects were later arrested.
