Around 18 December 2025 (as reported), near Munchique Los Tigres (Cauca), several suspected members of an unidentified armed group opened fire on a vehicle assigned to a former FARC combatant and his UNP security detail, injuring one of the security personnel, in an attack in the La Honda sector. It is suspected that the intended target was the former FARC combatant, but he was not present at the time. The vehicle sustained at least nine gunshot impacts. There were no fatalities.
