On 18 December 2025, in Nossa Senhora do Socorro (Sergipe), military police officers exchanged fire with suspected drug traffickers in the Fernando Collor neighbourhood. The officers conducted an operation in the region after receiving reports about the presence of the suspects, who were suspects of drug trafficking and homicides. An armed clash took place and four suspects were shot and killed. The men's family members, however, claim that there was no armed clash. 4 fatalities.
