On 18 December 2025, soldiers escorting a member of the Galmudug state parliament briefly exchanged gunfire with Galmudug police forces at the central police station in Dhuusamarreeb town (Dhuusamarreeb, Galgaduud). The member of parliament had a warrant to release two civilians who were arrested. Casualties unknown.
