On 18 December 2025, Fano clashed with ENDF, Amhara Riot Police, and Kebele militias in areas surrounding Wichale town, Ambasel (South Wello, Amhara), and in Wuchale town (coded separately). An unknown number of fighters were killed and wounded on both sides. Fano aimed to breach the state forces' defensive lines around the administrative center and seize the town, but was unsuccessful when reinforcements from Hayik arrived. Transportation along the Dessie-Woldia route was temporarily disrupted by fighting. Unspecified fatalities coded as 3 and split across the two locations, coded as 1 for this event.
