On 18 December 2025, government security forces (Danab) conducted an operation and clashed with Al Shabaab in Bagdaad village (Afgooye, Lower Shabelle), Baasra and Jambaluul (coded separately). The security forces destroyed Al Shabaab hideouts and base. There were no casualties.
