On 18 December 2025, Nigerian troops clashed with ISWAP/Boko Haram (JAS) while repelling an attack on the military base in Bitta (Gwoza, Borno). The troops were supported by the air component of Operation Hadin Kai and killed several militia members. They recovered AK-47 rifles, bandoliers, handheld radios, PKT machine guns, several belts of PKT and GPMG-linked ammunition, as well as motorcycles and bicycles. Unspecified number of fatalities coded as 10.
