On 18 December 2025, armed militants (likely JNIM, based on location) attacked a convoy of fuel trucks escorted by the Malian army between Bamako and Bougouni, coded to Ouelessebougou (Ouelessebougou, Kati, Koulikoro) a midpoint on the road between the two locations. The militants set fire to 3 fuel trucks, while the rest of the convoy arrived in Bamako. Casualties unknown.
