On 17 December 2025, near Pang Hsin village (Hsipaw township, Kyaukme district, Shan-North state), the Myanmar military reported that they clashed with the Shan State Army-North (SSPP/SSA-N) after they raided an online scam operation which involved around 200 people. The military subsequently detained three members of the SSPP/SSA-N along with one AK-47 rifle, one M-22 rifle, one MK-12 rifle, and one .22-caliber pistol. The military also detained five Chinese nationals, and one woman, while others managed to escape. They also seized 17 large makeshift tents, several guard huts, six all-in-one computers, 70 laptops, 160 mobile phones of various types, 10 iPads, 10 routers, 37 modem sticks, three generators, 19 Starlink satellite devices, two 4x4 vehicles, one three-wheeled motorcycle, and other related equipment. Casualties unknown.
