On 17 December 2025, in Cuauhtemoc, Veracruz, armed individuals opened fire directly to a train security post belonging to the train company Ferrosur. Four guards were present and one of them was shot and injured while another two were beaten up and one was kidnapped. The kidnapping victim was later found alive and beaten. The place is owned by the company Grupo Mexico.
