On 17 December 2025, in Albania municipality (La Guajira), suspected ELN members detonated an explosive device on the Cerrejon coal train railroad at kilometer 15. The explosion damaged the railroad infrastructure, but no one was injured. This was one of several actions suspected to have been carried out by the ELN across the country as part of a 72-hour armed strike (coded separately). There were no casualties.
