On 17 December 2025, members of the Freedom of Russia Legion planted a mine at a railway near Novouspenivka, Zaporizhia, that exploded, interrupting the supply of ammunition, equipment, and ore along the frontline railway line leading to the iron ore plant. Casualties unknown.
