On 16 December 2025, an Israeli settler, from his vehicle, opened fire at a 16-year-old Palestinian teen at the northern entrance of Tuqu (Bethlehem, West Bank), killing him. According to reports, this the settler shooting incident occurred as youths gathered on the main street after the funeral of a teenager who had been killed the previous day in the same village by IDF fire during a riot. However, the circumstances are unclear and the IDF did not comment on the shooting. Footage circulated online showed Jibril and others four teens fleeing the area as a black van arrived before the one of the teen shot dead.
