On 16 December 2025, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel killed three militants (coded as TTP) during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) near Akhun Baba graveyard in Aza Khel area in Peshawar city (Peshawar, KPK). The militants opened fire during the raid, prompting retaliatory fire by CTD and SWAT (coded as police) teams. Two militant accomplices escaped. Police recovered three AK-47 rifles and nine spare magazines from the scene. 3 fatalities.
