On 16 December 2025, suspected TTP militants opened fire targeting a polio eradication team in Tangi area (Bajaur, KPK), A police constable assigned to protect the team and a civilian passerby were shot dead. The civilian was killed when he attempted to chase the attackers. No polio workers were harmed. 2 fatalities.
